Thank you for using MovieMemo ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. MovieMemo is designed to be private by default: your movie data is stored on your device, and we do not require you to create an account or sign in.

MovieMemo lets you track movies you've watched and maintain a watchlist. The content you create, including:
is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). We do not collect, transmit, or have access to this personal movie data on our own servers. It stays on your device unless you choose to export or back it up yourself.
If you delete the App, this locally stored data is removed from your device.
MovieMemo allows you to export your data (for example, as a JSON file) and import it back. When you export data, the resulting file is under your control. If you share or store that file (for example, via AirDrop, email, or cloud storage), it is handled according to the terms of the service you choose. We do not receive a copy of exported files.
MovieMemo offers optional premium features through in-app purchases and subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
To manage entitlements and validate purchases, we use RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat processes purchase-related information (such as your anonymous App User ID, transaction and subscription status) to determine whether you have access to premium features. We collect this purchase information solely to provide app functionality.
To understand how the App is used and to improve it, we use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog collects anonymous or pseudonymous usage information, such as:
To distinguish devices, we use Apple's Identifier for Vendor (IDFV), which is specific to our apps on your device and does not personally identify you. This analytics data is used only for our own analytics purposes to improve the App.
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not use data for advertising. No Advertising Identifier (IDFA) is used.
MovieMemo can send you local reminders and notifications (for example, prompts related to your movie tracking). These are generated on your device. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.
Your movie data remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. Anonymous analytics data processed by PostHog and purchase data processed by RevenueCat are retained in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
MovieMemo is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete it. Because most of your data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise these rights directly by editing or deleting data within the App, or by uninstalling the App. For any requests related to analytics or purchase data, contact us at buildsbypravalika@gmail.com.

The App may be used from anywhere in the world. Where our service providers process data, that data may be handled in countries other than your own, consistent with the providers' privacy policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
